How the Circle works.

Sooma Circle is a curated community and knowledge platform for the Somali diaspora. It gathers lived experience, practical knowledge, community recommendations, guides, and builder stories from people who have already made the journey.

Sooma Circle is not:

• Legal advice
• Immigration advice
• Financial or investment advice
• Medical advice
• Travel safety advice
• An emergency service
• A government service
• A guarantee that any information is accurate or current
• An endorsement of every person, business, place, or recommendation mentioned

• Access to the Circle requires approval by a Circle Steward.
• Membership can be declined, paused, suspended, or removed.
• Creating or holding an account does not by itself make you a member.
• Members are expected to follow the community guidelines.
• Contributions may be reviewed before they are published.

Content on Sooma Circle comes from community knowledge and lived experience. We aim to be useful and careful, but places change, businesses change, and circumstances change.

Please verify anything important — especially decisions about money, travel, housing, health, or legal matters — independently before you act.

• Members may submit stories, recommendations, Diaspora Notes, builder nominations, guide suggestions, and topic requests.
• Submissions may be reviewed, lightly edited, declined, or published.
• Publication is never guaranteed.
• Please do not submit private contact details for public display unless you intend them to be public.
• We may lightly edit submissions for clarity, style, formatting, safety, or privacy.

• Keep your login details secure.
• Do not share your access with others.
• Do not impersonate another person.
• Do not misuse the platform or attempt to work around how it is meant to be used.

Sooma Circle may remove content or accounts that damage trust, safety, privacy, or the standards of the community.
